The Dispensary, which has been functioning for the last 76 years today, caters to 900 persons on an average everyday.

• PHYSIOTHERAPY - The facilities offered are – Electrical Traction, Short Wave Diathermy, Ultrasound, Muscle Stimulator, IFT, and Exercise Therapy etc.
• SKIN
• SURGICAL CONSULTATIONS

The Diagnostic facilities include

• REAL TIME COLOUR DOPPLER
• ULTRASONOGRAPHY WITH ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY
• FIBREOPTIC GI ENDOSCOPY, COLONOSCOPY
• AUDIOGRAM
• X RAY - 500 M A with II T V BARIUM SERIES, IVP, and HSG etc are done apart from routine X RAYS.
• CLINICAL & PATHOLOGICAL LABORATORY The lab has recently acquired a fully automated CHEMILUMINESCENT SYSTEM to do tests such as THYROID FUNCTION, FERTILITY HORMONES etc. It also has an ELISA PLATE READER to do HIV, HBS Ag etc.

All these facilities are made available at very nominal charges.

The Dispensary is also running a rural medical unit, which caters to the medical needs of 30 to 35 villages around Chennai. The Mobile Free Medical Service with doctors, paramedical staff and volunteers serves around 400 patients every Sunday. The mobile unit is placed at Theeyambakkam (Manali Taluk) every Sunday, and people from the nearby villages are treated at this mobile unit.
