Everyday the temple opens for the public at 4.30 am. At 5 am the main shrine opens and Mangala Arati for Bhagavan Sri Ramakrishna is performed. By 6.45 am Vedic and Gita chanting is done by the brahmacharins of the Math. Morning Puja starts by 8 am and ends by 9.00 am. The temple remains open till 11.30 am.

The temple opens for evening service by 3.30 pm. The evening Arati is done around 6.30 pm. This is followed by the prayer. The evening Arati is the main event of daily service. The Arati song is composed and tune scored by Swami Vivekananda himself. The Arati ie the waving of light and other paraphernalia to the accompaniment of chorus song, beating drums etc is a rare spiritually uplifting experience.

By 9 pm the temple closes.
