 1. Phalaharini Kali Puja :

Swami Vivekananda said: 'Kali worship is my special craze'. It is the fruit of any deed when accumulated become the cause of the cycle of birth and death. Kali symbolises power and power is needed for everyone, whether it be for spiritual fulfilment or for material prosperity. So Mother Kali is worshipped for the attainment of power.

Phalaharini is a name of Divine Mother which literally means She who takes away the fruits. It is the fruit of any deed when accumulated become the cause of the cycle of birth and death. When propitiated the Mother removes the fruits of our deeds and grants us liberation.

Phalaharini Kali puja is performed on Vaishakha Amavasya, the new moon day in the month of Vaishaka (April-May). The puja starts by 7 p.m. and ends by 9.30 p.m.

Navaratri is a set of nine days very special for Mother worship. These are the nine days starting from the first day after the new moon day in the month of Ashwin (September-October). In the evening special bhajans will be conducted. On the 7th day evening, Lalita Sahasranama Archana is performed. On the 8th day (Ashtami) special puja, homa etc. are offered to Bhagavan Sri Ramakrishna and prasad distributed. The ninth day is devoted to the celebration of Ayudha Puja and Saraswati Puja.

 3. Vijaya Dasami :

The next day after Navaratri ends is celebrated as Vijaya Dasami. Vijaya means success. It is believed that any endevour started on this day is crowned with success. Generally people start education, business etc on this day.

In the Math devotees participate in the vesper service and get sprinkled with holy water ritually brought from the sea. Prasad is distributed.

 4. Lakshmi Puja :

This usually comes in the month of October /November on the full-moon day after Vijaya Dasami. The puja is performed after evening arati. This lasts for 2 to 3 hours.
